I know some may think we are crazy and taking this monster truck thing a bit too far but honestly, those are the only thing our kid plays with.......and an excuse to go to Vegas. I was pleasantly surprised at how kid friendly Vegas has become. I did my research before and came prepared with a list of free and a few paid activities. The day we got there we checked into our hotel (we stayed at Bally's which I was worried about but ended up great) then headed to to Mirage for the Sigfried and Roy Secret Garden. Easton was over the moon with the dolphins, white tigers and lions, jaguar and white tiger cubs. We ate at Treasure Island that night where we watched the pirate ship sink right from our dinner table at this BBQ place. Best seats in the house.</div><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-e-TADLtubi8/TaYnnwxovcI/AAAAAAAAIY4/YmavTN7aT-U/s1600/lr-1659.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-e-TADLtubi8/TaYnnwxovcI/AAAAAAAAIY4/YmavTN7aT-U/s400/lr-1659.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595203151115894210" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LR3MkzMAECs/TaYnoA29fII/AAAAAAAAIZA/Lm2qwcOKKGU/s1600/lr-1647.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LR3MkzMAECs/TaYnoA29fII/AAAAAAAAIZA/Lm2qwcOKKGU/s400/lr-1647.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595203155433192578" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PQKM93NRtV4/TaYouD0mJHI/AAAAAAAAIZg/KdNYuxTeqrw/s1600/lr-1680.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PQKM93NRtV4/TaYouD0mJHI/AAAAAAAAIZg/KdNYuxTeqrw/s400/lr-1680.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595204358819423346" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;">On Friday we got up and did a little more exploring before heading to the stadium for the Pit Party. We got to see all the trucks up close and personal, meet a few of the drivers and pick up a souvenir or two. We then headed back to the hotel for a little snooze before going right back out to dinner then the main event! Easton sat on our laps for three hours watching the show which is a record for him!<br /><br /><br /></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mTNXeuyg370/TaYmUKE-onI/AAAAAAAAIYY/zaZJgn_Z2pU/s1600/lr-1827.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mTNXeuyg370/TaYmUKE-onI/AAAAAAAAIYY/zaZJgn_Z2pU/s320/lr-1827.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595201714798895730" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3zEhAb7OnyU/TaYpe7QudHI/AAAAAAAAIZ4/8bS0rmaSvyM/s1600/lr-1874.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3zEhAb7OnyU/TaYpe7QudHI/AAAAAAAAIZ4/8bS0rmaSvyM/s400/lr-1874.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595205198335079538" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglK3hUMtcgZ8OTazIM9ikEAH006A3tXhxACJ2Go8fzeq5t9Oa3SOfp42K9bZOQBEZJjmJs2sf0IKSK01PmlQlFlMXKsyACjzxpg2Bvwe0h4-WNIO95j9qL4bMA8sC9zhD66uCph7hXfzo/s1600/lr-1939.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglK3hUMtcgZ8OTazIM9ikEAH006A3tXhxACJ2Go8fzeq5t9Oa3SOfp42K9bZOQBEZJjmJs2sf0IKSK01PmlQlFlMXKsyACjzxpg2Bvwe0h4-WNIO95j9qL4bMA8sC9zhD66uCph7hXfzo/s400/lr-1939.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595205469829140962" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M-08gRABytI/TaYpebQBQuI/AAAAAAAAIZw/GmdO23Pjqfs/s1600/lr-2033.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M-08gRABytI/TaYpebQBQuI/AAAAAAAAIZw/GmdO23Pjqfs/s400/lr-2033.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595205189742183138" border="0" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><br /><br />All in all it was a wonderful trip with some much needed family time for the three of us. I got to take some incredible pictures of the trucks in action as well which is always fun to have a new challenge to shoot. It was WAY TOO LATE of a night and E didn't get to bed till almost 11pm. By far a record for him but it was well worth it.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center; margin: 0px auto 10px;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdQFw1FejI/AAAAAAAAIUQ/qnETIW9MlDE/s1600/lr-0034.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdQFw1FejI/AAAAAAAAIUQ/qnETIW9MlDE/s320/lr-0034.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568507524204034610" border="0" /></a>So those of you who know any of the Moster Jam trucks will understand this, which is maybe nobody who reads this, so I will explain. Maximum Destruction, aka. Max-D, is one of Easton's favorite monster trucks that races on the Monster Jam circuit. Those of you who know Easton know that he wakes up WAY TOO EARLY on a daily basis. Monster Jam is on Speed channel from 5-6 am almost every morning so rather than watching cartoons such as Sesame Street, my little monster truck nut is watching Monster Jam instead.<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdL1bsh2HI/AAAAAAAAIUE/GSYu0uEpW3g/s1600/0129011700.jpg"><img alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdL1bsh2HI/AAAAAAAAIUE/GSYu0uEpW3g/s400/0129011700.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div><br /><br /><a href="http://picasa.google.com/blogger/" target="ext"><img src="http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif" alt="Posted by Picasa" style="border: 0px none; padding: 0px; background: none repeat scroll 0% 50% transparent;" align="middle" border="0" /></a>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-44383689425054309192011-01-31T16:31:00.002-07:002011-01-31T16:38:34.769-07:00Bike Races<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdH4LozTrI/AAAAAAAAIT4/dgRFlQgtEGM/s1600/bike%2Brace.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdH4LozTrI/AAAAAAAAIT4/dgRFlQgtEGM/s320/bike%2Brace.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568498494789078706" border="0" /></a><br /><br />We had a great Saturday a few weekends ago doing a little mountain bike racing. One of my new years resolutions was to do a mountain bike race after Larry built me an awesome new bike a few months ago. Why not get it out of the way early. It worked out perfectly that I could race at 8:30 and Larry at 11:30 so we could swap the little Mr.<br /><br />I have to say all in all it was pretty good. I had a lot of fun and would do it again. Besides taking my first spill on a bike since I was probably five. I woke up the next morning not being able to lift my hand past my shoulder and a nice scratch and bruise on my rear. There were only 4 women in my age group and lets just say I didn't win but I wasn't last.<br /><br />Easton even got to race too. One of the race staff was walking through the parking area and saw Easton attempting to "ride" his Strider bike. Asked if he was going to do the kids race and I said, "Oh, maybe we will come and watch". Oh no, not Easton. He heard kids race and was there lined up with the big kids raring to go. He ended up waiting until the little kids went, him and one other girl, and I basically pushed him the whole 50 meters. He got a little medal, his picture on the awards stand and has been wanting to ride his bike every day since.<br /><br />All in all it was a beautiful, sunny, 70 degree day spent with my favorite two boys.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdH3_8FCwI/AAAAAAAAITw/StkUP2qmWJM/s1600/e%2Bbike%2Brace.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TUdH3_8FCwI/AAAAAAAAITw/StkUP2qmWJM/s320/e%2Bbike%2Brace.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568498491648707330" border="0" /></a>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-16686860677994774842011-01-12T13:01:00.002-07:002011-01-12T13:12:02.562-07:00This little thing called a Blog<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TS4LCaWkowI/AAAAAAAAITk/vzvnrdCo2qI/s1600/hr-9531.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TS4LCaWkowI/AAAAAAAAITk/vzvnrdCo2qI/s320/hr-9531.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5561394725910782722" /></a><br />Sorry for those of you that actually follow our blog (mom and Trina). After a hectic holiday season I feel like we are finally getting back into the swing of things. Starting in October, right around my last post, weekends became engulfed in photo sessions. I've been very fortunate to be so busy with the business and am enjoying every moment I spend behind my camera. I've had the pleasure of photographing some beautiful families, spunky children, glowing new mommies and sweet little newborns. <div><br /></div><div>My sister in law, Trina, was here for Thanksgiving and was able to see the new house. Oh yeah, we moved at the beginning of October! We could not be happier with the new house with it being in a amazing area, by great schools and only five minutes to Larry's office. I have yet to meet anyone around here but hopefully through the multitude of activities we are involved in we will meet some new friends soon. <div><br /></div><div> As for Christmas, my parents were able to make the trip down and spend a week with us. With any luck we hope they will be able to make a permanant move some day to our warmer climate. Easton was so into the whole Christmas thing this year! It was so much fun taking him to see Santa, wrapping presents and seeing his face light up with the plethora of Monster trucks that made their way into our home on Christmas day. Lucky for us they are small, inexpensive and easy to clean up. <div><br /></div><div>New Year's Eve was uneventful just how we like it. A few fireworks in the driveway then off to bed early. January 10th brought an exciting day for us as Oregon played for the BCS national title game. Unfortunately they came up short but we cheered on the Ducks the best we could. Easton had the "GO Ducks" down pat!</div></div></div><div><br /></div><div>I promise to be more diligent about posting on my blog so please leave a comment if you like to read all about our exciting life :)</div>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-45880899269783170622011-01-12T12:44:00.003-07:002011-01-12T12:46:05.337-07:00Refinished furniture GiveawayFor those of you that love furniture that has been refinished check out this blog.<a href="http://restorationfurniture.blogspot.com"> Restoration Furniture.</a> They are even doing a fantastic giveaway. Mommy back up shot her first wedding on Friday, Easton's 2nd birthday party on Saturday and topping it all off Halloween on Sunday. We are still recouperating from the festivities. That set aside Halloween was so much fun this year. Easton really understood what was going on and picked up the trick or treating like a true Talbott. He really is a pumpkin baby! We went to breakfast in the morning, went and looked at some mountain bikes for me, yes it is my turn for a new bike! Carved some pumpkins then geared up for a trip down the block. Where did my little baby go? It seems over night he went from a snugly little newborn to a full on little boy. Every time I look at pictures of him I am amazed at the little rascal he has become. So smart, so talkative, and so incredibly adorable. Countdown to his second birthday has begun. It's going to be a crazy busy week so I figured I better get this out now. Friday is the big day. Easton turns 2 and mommy turns the big 3-0. So what am I doing for my birthday? What else? Shooting my first wedding of course. Well, back up shooting with my good friend Elizabeth of <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.elizabethlangford.com">Elizabeth Langford Photography</a>. I'm so excited for the experience and hope it will give me an idea if it is something I want to pursue further in my photography career.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TMcuFRdbduI/AAAAAAAAIPc/tYS7WLq9hMI/s1600/-4.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TMcuFRdbduI/AAAAAAAAIPc/tYS7WLq9hMI/s320/-4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532441335369004770" border="0" /></a><br />Here are the party details:<br />Location: The New Talbott Station<br />Theme: Firetrucks of course<br />Party Guests: Just a few close friends from throughout the years.<br />Anticipation: Extremely high! The boxes are slowly being unpacked between painting. What started in the kitchen has now turned into the entire house being painted........by me. Larry did help with some rolling the other night after I pretty much had to beg. I'm down to my last color. Woo hoo. So we had our first official visitors today (Cousin Carrie doesn't count because she is family and has been her before). My friend Shasta and her little boy Max made the trek up to see us. Easton was elated to see a familiar face and I have never seen him so amped up to play. We took the boys out back and this is what happened. The pictures speak for themselves. Let's just say the boys ended up in the tub after it was all said and done.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TLdrC1aQ30I/AAAAAAAAIPI/iIJ-ZRfgoqo/s1600/3-1.jpeg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 250px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TLdrC1aQ30I/AAAAAAAAIPI/iIJ-ZRfgoqo/s400/3-1.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528004764061720386" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TLdrB4ByULI/AAAAAAAAIPA/SteMgIbfIPM/s1600/5-1.jpeg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 250px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TLdrB4ByULI/AAAAAAAAIPA/SteMgIbfIPM/s400/5-1.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528004747584491698" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TLdrBbfL_GI/AAAAAAAAIO4/Z5fyrubLTXY/s1600/1-1.jpeg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 250px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TLdrBbfL_GI/AAAAAAAAIO4/Z5fyrubLTXY/s400/1-1.jpeg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528004739923180642" border="0" /></a>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-29336951418808489422010-09-10T14:17:00.003-07:002010-09-11T19:03:29.281-07:00Detour to the Fire Station<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnR8I3gqfxqy3yOLh9ZGnfMn6vOxSauYIsyzH-FCrqLEWkTZJQrPSU3u1EX1aclVM1ervEtUID93G8-7boQ3Ye2RCtlQCxEhNs6duu2hWWkIBLLlxAz2kEVeIXcAQhIz5NfkQhGZH6x10/s1600/0910000734.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnR8I3gqfxqy3yOLh9ZGnfMn6vOxSauYIsyzH-FCrqLEWkTZJQrPSU3u1EX1aclVM1ervEtUID93G8-7boQ3Ye2RCtlQCxEhNs6duu2hWWkIBLLlxAz2kEVeIXcAQhIz5NfkQhGZH6x10/s400/0910000734.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515841686689417586" border="0" /></a><br />Out for a quick 3 miler this morning on our usual path but today the fire truck was out at the station.! Go figure Easton woke up late, for him, at 7am so I quickly took him potty and threw him in the stroller with some Cherrios and milk in his pajamas, okay not the best of breakfasts but I needed to take advantage of the 70 degree morning. I stopped briefly to point out the truck when the fireman waved us over. We looked at the truck for a minute and he offered to take us for a ride around the block. Well, it was a ride around the loop of the station to fill the truck with gas. We hopped in pajamas, sweat and all. Easton was pointing out all the gear. "helmet", "boots", "computer", "coat", and "fire truck birthday". The fireman was impressed he knew all this and was not even two yet. He especially thought the birthday thing was funny. We got out and he turned on the hose for Easton to see. As we got out I snapped a quick picture of E on the truck, with my phone so I'll have to figure out how to get in online. They got a call, ran to the truck and were off sirens blaring.<br /><br />Thank you Dobson Ranch firemen for making Easton's morning, day, week...........he keeps talking about it.cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-18621450238134493962010-08-23T21:06:00.000-07:002010-08-23T21:07:44.158-07:00Need I Say More?<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/THNFf1HNABI/AAAAAAAAIOA/TcXT7dZIcms/s1600/-9915.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/THNFf1HNABI/AAAAAAAAIOA/TcXT7dZIcms/s400/-9915.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5508823182339801106" border="0" /></a>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-54476878674604989392010-08-09T12:11:00.003-07:002010-08-09T12:14:43.680-07:00Train Park Sunday<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TGBTUYc57BI/AAAAAAAAINE/guDbHl2enF4/s1600/IMG_9840-2.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TGBTUYc57BI/AAAAAAAAINE/guDbHl2enF4/s320/IMG_9840-2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503490354272922642" border="0" /></a><br />We took advantage of a Sunday in August where the weather was under 100! I know, my last post it was 115 and now we are out riding the train in the middle of the afternoon. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of Easton doing his favorite thing. Riding the trains. The light hit him so perfectly and he was hamming it up for me in his newsboy hat. The new magic word to get him to look at the camera, "Thomas".cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-63939794674739589532010-08-06T15:40:00.004-07:002010-08-06T15:49:56.379-07:00What to do when it's 115 degrees in Arizona! This past week was a warm one to say the least. Most of you probably say, "just go in the pool". Well I would but, since my surgery I am not allowed to submerge my knee in the water so I have not been able to swim. With the temps around 115 degrees I thought it would be fun to take pictures of the fun things we do around the house to entertain ourselves. This is a peek into our afternoon.<br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Using Jack as a train track.<br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQwdEgMvI/AAAAAAAAIM4/zr29QaNRikE/s1600/IMG_9745.jpg"> <img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQwdEgMvI/AAAAAAAAIM4/zr29QaNRikE/s320/IMG_9745.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502432006851539698" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Trying to get Jack to play trains with me.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQv3L2TVI/AAAAAAAAIMw/3K7g7SgkG_A/s1600/IMG_9754.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQv3L2TVI/AAAAAAAAIMw/3K7g7SgkG_A/s320/IMG_9754.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502431996681801042" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Pointing out and saying the parts of Jack's face.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQWgEeyyI/AAAAAAAAIMo/9DkNcMymXZ8/s1600/IMG_9759.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQWgEeyyI/AAAAAAAAIMo/9DkNcMymXZ8/s320/IMG_9759.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502431560980155170" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Practice putting my sandals on.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQWNvvpcI/AAAAAAAAIMg/CUhL_KTZgOw/s1600/IMG_9763.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQWNvvpcI/AAAAAAAAIMg/CUhL_KTZgOw/s320/IMG_9763.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502431556061341122" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Trying to put the sandals on Jack's feet.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQVskD7cI/AAAAAAAAIMY/fRP8mDEsgrQ/s1600/IMG_9764.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQVskD7cI/AAAAAAAAIMY/fRP8mDEsgrQ/s320/IMG_9764.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502431547153968578" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Playing soccer with an empty jug.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQVTy-_kI/AAAAAAAAIMQ/JbxcW8-mGuw/s1600/IMG_9773.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TFyQVTy-_kI/AAAAAAAAIMQ/JbxcW8-mGuw/s320/IMG_9773.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502431540505673282" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Cooking lettuce for mommy! I'm getting around pretty well but still a bit swollen. I must be a mom now as my stitch holes are covered in Hot Wheels bandaids. We made it to Trader Joes this morning for some snacks and then to gymnastics. It was nice to have a small class and his coach was so helpful chasing him down since I can't move very fast.cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-74461237039485722462010-07-27T14:29:00.000-07:002010-07-27T14:33:18.309-07:003 Little Words<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TE9Qhrjl_NI/AAAAAAAAIL8/rxx6tEOaU9k/s1600/-2-4.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TE9Qhrjl_NI/AAAAAAAAIL8/rxx6tEOaU9k/s400/-2-4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498702209600584914" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-size:180%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">My Little Cowboy<br /></span></span></div>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-78555251323091189592010-07-25T17:41:00.008-07:002010-07-25T20:59:12.219-07:00Sedona Weekend<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TE0G5bYA8yI/AAAAAAAAILw/3C4WNnudp-Y/s1600/-5.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TE0G5bYA8yI/AAAAAAAAILw/3C4WNnudp-Y/s320/-5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498058303760036642" border="0" /></a><br />We had a nice weekend in Sedona with our nephew Noah. I'm just shy of 30 and I wake up with a stiff neck I can't move, an aching shin (Easton elbowed me in the shin last night right where I had a stress fracture and shin splints in college) and a knee that is being operated on next week. I guess that is was 9 year of gymnastics, 4 years of volleyball, and 6 years of track will do to someone. When it all seems a bit rough I watch the video below and it makes it all go away.<br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyUA8EmSpB8j-QZe0V4hHBeRtyj4sphdaLHJYst1s8s6giYSO8g4wJ551Z8f5_LLDBQvFroP0jG-ZgB0PJPTw' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-25943665769559846472010-07-03T20:57:00.002-07:002010-07-03T21:01:26.663-07:00Hall of Flame<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TDAHemNtRQI/AAAAAAAAIKg/aX6gh4gwwgU/s1600/fire+museum-1-5.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TDAHemNtRQI/AAAAAAAAIKg/aX6gh4gwwgU/s400/fire+museum-1-5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5489896168000144642" border="0" /></a><br />After driving by the Hall of Flame Fire Museum a few dozen times en route to the Phoenix Zoo we decided to take a family trip to see what it was all about. I mean, Easton does like firetrucks just a little! An hour and a half of pure joy and a year membership later we trapsed back out to the 110 degree heat. Easton was in heaven. Rows of old, red, shiney firetrucks, helmets, gear and so much more to look at. Larry was supposed to do a bike race but due to the Eagle Rock fire outside of Flag it was postponed till Fall. We still had a great family weekend. We drove up Friday and stayed in a house just outside of town. It had a great front porch and thanks to the owners, who have two small kids, was totally kid friendly! Easton just loved playing on the front patio in the cool weather. Friday night we went and walked around downtown Flagstaff and ate dinner at an the amazing Big Foot BBQ. After an awful night sleep by all of us......just think.......me snoring with no earplugs for Larry, EAston in bed with me which I'm not used to, Larry moving to the couch and waking up at 4:45. Let's just say a well needed nap occurred on Saturday afternoon <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TB_hn8iS-aI/AAAAAAAAIJs/k35dBM_xB6w/s1600/-9-2.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TB_hn8iS-aI/AAAAAAAAIJs/k35dBM_xB6w/s400/-9-2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485350947541678498" border="0" /></a>after visiting Walnut Canyon. We took a little hike down the canyon and looked at the Indian ruins on the sides of the canyon walls. Really amazing. Saturday evening we headed back into town for dinner only to have it look like the entire town of Flagstaff was burning. Another fire had started just outside of town evacuating 4 communities. We had a nice dinner outside at Altitudes and Easton was so excited about the trains that came through right by the restaurant. We then headed up to Lowell Observatory which was a waste of money because duhhhh.......nothing really happens at an observatory before dark. OH well, lesson learned at least Easton got his energy out by running around all over the place. We got up Sunday morning, after a much better night sleep, packed up and headed to town for Biff's Bagels and a jont around the Farmer's Market. It was a pleasant ride home with lots of book reading and singing to try to keep Easton awake. Sleep won.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TB_hf6j6KgI/AAAAAAAAIJk/-NyOZ9Bmm60/s1600/-2-2.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TB_hf6j6KgI/AAAAAAAAIJk/-NyOZ9Bmm60/s400/-2-2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485350809572616706" border="0" /></a>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-90869637654886399592010-06-01T08:19:00.004-07:002010-06-01T08:28:18.259-07:00Boost of Photography Confidence<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TAUmpTIZ9-I/AAAAAAAAIJY/gOEfip-QI-4/s1600/firefighter.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/TAUmpTIZ9-I/AAAAAAAAIJY/gOEfip-QI-4/s400/firefighter.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477827012718098402" border="0" /></a><br />I follow a great blog/facebook page for MCP Actions. It is a lot of actions used in Photoshop which I don't use for my photography but I pick up a lot of inspiration from the photos I see and articles posted. The creator of the blog was doing a Memorial Day tribute post and asked facebook followers to send in patriotic photographs. I wishfully thinking sent in a photograph of a newborn (Keegan Scott) that I took a few weeks back. Personally this is my favorite photo I've ever taken so sent it her way. Out of hundreds of photos entered mine was one of 19 chosen and posted. It gives me a little boost of confidence knowing that my photo is up there with seasoned photographers all over the country.<br /><br />Here is the<a href="http://www.mcpactions.com/blog/2010/05/31/patriotic-images/"> link </a>cortneytalbotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11063674072502610411noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7997887935500979102.post-13951782121710062782010-05-23T15:23:00.002-07:002010-05-23T15:32:54.800-07:00Play House, Pool, Pancakes Oh My!<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N8TOqhSIy48/S_mrded5YKI/AAAAAAAAIJE/z6jDGod6utE/s1600/firefighter.jpg"><br /></a>I totally scored on this playhouse yesterday at a yard sale! $20 for hours of enjoyment.
