Thanksgiving Recap

See the Web Album for more pictures!!!

It has been quite an eventful past week to say the least! Our good friends Jason and Kelli flew in last Friday from Denver to spend the holiday with us.

Saturday.........We loaded the trailer, truck, bikes, and gear and headed down to SE Arizona to a cabin where Jason's grandparents, Barb & Ancel, were staying. It was almost 25 miles off the main highway outside of Winslow in the mountains. They are the most amazing couple who are so in love with each other and their family. They were kind enough to give up the one bedroom (they slept on the pull-out sofa) so that Easton and myself could sleep inside while the rest of the crew braved the cold in the trailer. We made a few extra freinds while we were there including Sylvester the Coati, ring-tail cats, gray foxes, and skunks (I didn't dare get too close for pictures).

Sunday morning...... we woke up around 6am. Kelli, E and I went on a walk up the road and back. We caught the boys headed out for a 2-3 hour mountain bike ride. So we thought...........6 1/2 hours later...........here come the boys, Jay pushing his bike with a bloody leg, Larry looking ready to hurl. They got lost!!! Oh yeah, minor detail, they ran across a few vacant imigrant camps! We were only about 50 miles from the US/Mexico border! As the boys were out biking I started to feel a bit uneasy in the stomach. Kelli wasn't feeling well either. By the time dinner rolled around Kelli, myself, and Larry all had a lovely case of the stomach flu! It made it that much worse that none of us were at home.

Monday........after a good night sleep the three of us were feeling weak but good enough to at least get some food in our systems. We packed up all of our stuff and headed out. We made it home in 4.5 hours and only stopped for gas and DQ popsicles.

Tuesday........Jay gets sick, Kelli and I go out for a girls day to see Twilight: New Moon. Did anyone notice that Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob Black CAN NOT act?

Wednesday..........We are all back to normal and somehow Easton was the only one who managed not to get the sickies!

Thursday.......Happy Thanksgiving! The boys went riding early while Kelli and I got to cooking the 20lb bird and all the yummy things that go with it! We celebrated with wonderful friends including John, Danielle, and Emma.

Friday......The boys go for a long ride up north while Kelli, E and I hit the mall. It really wasn't as busy as I thought. We bought a few things for Easton at TCP. Oh and the best of all! My wedding ring set is complete with it's second band thanks to Bailey Banks and Biddle going out of business. We've been watching the price for the past month or so and it went to 70% off! Yipee...it is so beautiful and sparkly! That night we treated Jay and Kell to dinner at Oregano's.

Saturday..... :(Boo Hoo Jay and Kell left. We were so sad to see them go but I think Easton got worn out. 2 hour nap in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon! Look at the bedhead.

All in all it was a wonderful week of love and laughter. We are so thankful for having such wonderful friends and family. We are especially thankful for our little boy who has changed our world and made it a better and brighter place.

Easton's Little Buddy

Easton: 1 week
Charlotte: 7 weeks
(Yes, at this point they were almost the same size. Charlotte was tiny at birth)

I met my friend Erin at the park the other day with her little girl Charlotte. Easton and Charlotte are just the best little buddies. They have known one another since they were tiny little things in our stomachs. It's funny how they seem to gravitate toward each other when in a big group as well.

Easton: 4 months
Charlotte: 5 1/2 months

Now look at them!

Easton started the "hands in the mud" and Charlotte followed.

Just the sweetest little things.

Charlotte loves to give Easton kisses.

We love you Erin and Charlotte and are so happy to have freinds like you! I just had to post these pictures for everyone to see.

Friends, Cake, and Trick or Treating!

We had a crazy busy weekend with Easton's party on Saturday plus a little Trick or Treating. My mom came in from Oregon for the party which was such a big help! We had quite a house full but it was so wonderful to have such great friends around us for Easton's big day. We had wonderful food, yummy treats and a lot of noisy toys! Easton didn't really tear into his cake like we thought he might. He was very meticulous at first but after a bit started going after it. He didn't end up eating too much and didn't even need a bath afterward. That evening our friends Becki, Andrew, and Caleb came over for a few left overs and some Trick or Treating. Easton was a little unsure about strangers while Caleb was about to walk right into their homes.

Happy Birthday to my little Pumpkin. Look at the Web Album for all the pictures.

Charlotte was giving Easton birthday kisses.

Thank you Uncle Shawn, Aunt Trina, and Uncle Max for the Trike!
