Still No Baby

For those of you that follow our blog I will give a quick update. We had another doctor's appointment on Thursday and I was still at a 1 and 50%. He said that the baby's head had dropped lower which I have felt. Sitting has become very uncomfortable in the past week as I have had a lot of pressure which is a good sign. If you are following the blog don't be afraid to leave me a comment. Just click on comment underneith and leave me a message. It is nice to get them to see that someone is reading this thing :). Thanks Erin for always leaving me messages! Keep hoping for this baby to come soon.........I am ready!!!

Baby Update

We had another doctor's appointment yesterday and the baby is still cooking. I'm still only dialated to 1 cm but am 50% efaced. A little bit of progress. No contractions that I feel at this point but the doctor says that we could have a baby any day now. My mom got into town on Wednesday so it has been nice having someone to bum around with to make the time go faster. Hopefully my next entry I will have some baby pictures to share!

Easton.....what?

It seems that a lot of people are curious just where one comes up with baby names. There are so many websites and books out there with lists and lists of baby names and what they mean. So where did we come up with the name of our little one to be? Sports of course. Around our third month of pregnancy we were eating dinner watching a baseball game when the announcer gave a congratulations to one of the players for becoming a new father that past weekend. They said that the name of the little boy was Easton. The first thing that came to mind was, "oh that is cute and different". Then Larry piped up with his comment saying, "Hey I like that, Easton makes skiing equipment and mountain biking equipment, that's a great name". We sat on it for a while as an option and as time went on it seemed to really fit us. From time to time when people ask what the name of the baby will be I get a "what?" after I tell them and have to say it again, or I get "Oh like the baseball bat?". I don't think it's that difficult but maybe just not heard all that often. The baseball bat comment makes me think twice sometimes but when it is all said and done we never heard anything that we liked better. It's unique, but not too weird like Apple or Sunday. As for his middle name, David, he will be getting that from his grandfather who passed away many years ago. We wanted to incorporate him somehow since Easton will never get the chance to meet him.
