Happy Birthday Easton!

Happy 2nd Birthday E!

It was a smokin good time with Easton's friends for his second birthday. Thanks to TomKat Studios for the amazing detailed designs and Caleb's Closet for the custom made shirt to match. I had so much fun decorating for the party and paying attention to details from firehouse chili to bowls of Hot Tamales. It couldn't have been a better day.

The Talbott Clan. Finally a family shot. I spend so much time behind the camera I'm never in any of the photos.

Tee shirt from Caleb's Closet designed to match the invites.

Firehouse chili, Blazing buffalo wings and Hot Tamales included.

Love these flowers. Used ribbon around the centers and print out circles from my TomKat order.

Again printed these and cut them out. I also used them as coasters for the table.

Easton trying to feed Aunt Carrie his chili

Easton, Tori and Max waiting patiently for their cake. I've never seen these three sit so still.

A terrible picture but you get the idea. Thanks Aunt Trina for sending the pan. It really was so easy!

Countdown to Number 2

Where has the time gone? Where did my little baby go? It seems over night he went from a snugly little newborn to a full on little boy. Every time I look at pictures of him I am amazed at the little rascal he has become. So smart, so talkative, and so incredibly adorable. Countdown to his second birthday has begun. It's going to be a crazy busy week so I figured I better get this out now. Friday is the big day. Easton turns 2 and mommy turns the big 3-0. So what am I doing for my birthday? What else? Shooting my first wedding of course. Well, back up shooting with my good friend Elizabeth of Elizabeth Langford Photography. I'm so excited for the experience and hope it will give me an idea if it is something I want to pursue further in my photography career.
Here are the party details:
Location: The New Talbott Station
Theme: Firetrucks of course
Party Guests: Just a few close friends from throughout the years.
Anticipation: Extremely high! Easton has been telling random people about his "firetruck birthday" for months now.

Happy early birthday to my favorite little guy. You are simply amazing in every single way!

I Love Dirt

We are settling into the new house nicely. The boxes are slowly being unpacked between painting. What started in the kitchen has now turned into the entire house being painted........by me. Larry did help with some rolling the other night after I pretty much had to beg. I'm down to my last color. Woo hoo. So we had our first official visitors today (Cousin Carrie doesn't count because she is family and has been her before). My friend Shasta and her little boy Max made the trek up to see us. Easton was elated to see a familiar face and I have never seen him so amped up to play. We took the boys out back and this is what happened. The pictures speak for themselves. Let's just say the boys ended up in the tub after it was all said and done.

Detour to the Fire Station

Out for a quick 3 miler this morning on our usual path but today the fire truck was out at the station.! Go figure Easton woke up late, for him, at 7am so I quickly took him potty and threw him in the stroller with some Cherrios and milk in his pajamas, okay not the best of breakfasts but I needed to take advantage of the 70 degree morning. I stopped briefly to point out the truck when the fireman waved us over. We looked at the truck for a minute and he offered to take us for a ride around the block. Well, it was a ride around the loop of the station to fill the truck with gas. We hopped in pajamas, sweat and all. Easton was pointing out all the gear. "helmet", "boots", "computer", "coat", and "fire truck birthday". The fireman was impressed he knew all this and was not even two yet. He especially thought the birthday thing was funny. We got out and he turned on the hose for Easton to see. As we got out I snapped a quick picture of E on the truck, with my phone so I'll have to figure out how to get in online. They got a call, ran to the truck and were off sirens blaring.

Thank you Dobson Ranch firemen for making Easton's morning, day, week...........he keeps talking about it.

Train Park Sunday

We took advantage of a Sunday in August where the weather was under 100! I know, my last post it was 115 and now we are out riding the train in the middle of the afternoon. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of Easton doing his favorite thing. Riding the trains. The light hit him so perfectly and he was hamming it up for me in his newsboy hat. The new magic word to get him to look at the camera, "Thomas".

What to do when it's 115 degrees in Arizona!

This past week was a warm one to say the least. Most of you probably say, "just go in the pool". Well I would but, since my surgery I am not allowed to submerge my knee in the water so I have not been able to swim. With the temps around 115 degrees I thought it would be fun to take pictures of the fun things we do around the house to entertain ourselves. This is a peek into our afternoon.

Using Jack as a train track.

Trying to get Jack to play trains with me.

Pointing out and saying the parts of Jack's face.

Practice putting my sandals on.

Trying to put the sandals on Jack's feet.

Playing soccer with an empty jug.

Cooking lettuce for mommy! Yum

This was all within a few hours. My next goal is to take pictures throughout the entire day. Stay tuned!
